Priyanka Chopra is definitely going through a strange predicament. There are times when she has a flurry of releasing eating up practically every day of the year (she had six releases in 2008) and then there are times like now when it is almost a barren phase, what with a film each at just the beginning and end of year. Now that her DON 2 is up for release, it would be after a hiatus that Priyanka would be seen on the big screen.
“This isn’t something that Priyanka would have bargained for,” says an industry insider, “Out of sight is clearly the case of out of mind. In case of Priyanka it further accentuates since her 7 KHOON MAAF was a big flop and a critical failure as well. When your last film doesn’t do well and the break is as long as this, it is never a pleasant experience.”
Priyanka could well be feeling the pinch even though she can be expected to be much prepared about how 2011 would look like at the beginning of the year as well.
