It can't get better than this. The stage is all set - India touring England and starting its tour with the 2000th test match at the Lords. And thats not it, the entire world (forget only the cricket playing nations) are looking forward to the 100th ton by the GOD himself. History is about to be made.
Media is all abuzz with the comparisons as to who will dominate, which country, bowling or batting. Swann in number 1 one day bowler now. Chris Tremlett is the chief threat to Indian batsmen. The news has just come in that Sehwag wont be able to play the second test now.
I dont understand why is there any doubt in the minds of people who are giving statements in the media...or debating who will lead the series.
In my opinion - India would definitely miss Sehwag but look at the depth in the team - Gambhir, Laxman, Dravid, Tendulkar, Dhoni, Yuvi or Raina followed by the best ever Indian bowling attack with the inform bowlers like Ishant and Praveen Kumar with Zaheer joining after a break. Yes, the coinditions don't favour us, but look at the stats for the last few years. India is not no 1 and World Champion just by chance.
